Presented in conjunction with the Harvard Museum of Natural History
Usually offered exclusively to members of the Harvard Museum of Natural History, we have a few spots open for our October 23, 2009 trip to Borneo. Start off by visiting Borneo’s must-see orangutan sanctuaries, wildlife preserves and wilderness areas. Next journey to Borneo’s furthest reaches on a private 9-day boat trip aboard a beautiful restored barge up the Heart of Darkness rivers to rarely visited, remote regions. This unique cruise along the Rajang River, Malaysia’s longest river, will reveal the lush scenery, local cultures, and profuse wildlife for which Borneo is renowned.
You will travel in the company of a special naturalist, a veteran Asia Transpacific Journeys tour leader, and an expert from the Harvard Museum of Natural History.
